Guest fatally stabbed during New Year's party
ST. PETERSBURG -- A 21-year-old man was stabbed to death early Tuesday in a fight during a New Year's Eve party at a house in the Euclid neighborhood.
Borun Sath was stabbed in the chest about 1:15 a.m. outside 1738 11th St. N. Paramedics took him to Bayfront Medical Center, but Sath could not be revived. Sath's last known address was 333-1/2 Ninth Ave. N, and he apparently was a guest at the party.
Police arrested another party guest -- Joseph A. Nunnelly, 22, of Seffner -- and charged him with manslaughter.
Detectives said Nunnelly and Sath got into a fight outside the house, and Nunnelly pulled out a switchblade and stabbed Sath. Nunnelly drove away, but police soon found him at 2201 30th Ave. N, detectives said.
Nunnelly was being held Tuesday in the Pinellas County Jail. The amount of his bail had not been set.
Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call St. Petersburg police Detective Mark Deasaro at 893-7339.
