By Times staff reports Guest fatally stabbed during New Year's partyST. PETERSBURG -- A 21-year-old man was stabbed to death early Tuesday in a fight during a New Year's Eve party at a house in the Euclid neighborhood. Borun Sath was stabbed in the chest about 1:15 a.m. outside 1738 11th St. N. Paramedics took him to Bayfront Medical Center, but Sath could not be revived. Sath's last known address was 333-1/2 Ninth Ave. N, and he apparently was a guest at the party. Police arrested another party guest -- Joseph A. Nunnelly, 22, of Seffner -- and charged him with manslaughter. Detectives said Nunnelly and Sath got into a fight outside the house, and Nunnelly pulled out a switchblade and stabbed Sath. Nunnelly drove away, but police soon found him at 2201 30th Ave. N, detectives said. Nunnelly was being held Tuesday in the Pinellas County Jail. The amount of his bail had not been set. Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call St. Petersburg police Detective Mark Deasaro at 893-7339. Carjackers steal cab driver's vanTAMPA -- A 46-year-old cab driver picking up a fare was carjacked at gunpoint early Tuesday but was not injured. The victim, employed by the Yellow Cab Co., was dispatched to the Kenneth Court Apartments on Kenneth Court and 43rd Street shortly before 5:40 a.m., Tampa police said. When he arrived at the apartment, two men inquired about a ride. One of the men pulled out a black pistol and ordered the victim out of the 1996 Ford Aerostar van. The suspects left with the vehicle. Tampa man killed by car while crossing streetTAMPA -- A 42-year-old Tampa man was struck and killed by a car early Monday while trying to cross a street. Carl Eugene Blackburn stepped in front of a 1999 Nissan at Nebraska Avenue and E Brawin Avenue about 1:02 a.m., according to Tampa police. He died at the scene. The driver of the car, Reginald Copeland, 35, was not injured. The investigation is continuing.
