WHEN/WHERE: Today -- Friday, Northeast High

ADMISSION: $5 per day.

TEAMS: Boca Ciega, Pinellas Park, Northeast, Northside Christian, St. Petersburg

FORMAT: Each team plays twice today. Teams earn five points for a win and two for a tie. Tiebreakers are determined by head-to-head play, goal differential and, if necessary, penalty kicks.

SCHEDULE: Today -- Northside Christian vs. Northeast, 9 a.m.; Pinellas Park vs. St. Petersburg, 11; Northside Christian vs. Boca Ciega, 2 p.m.; Pinellas Park vs. Northeast, 4; St. Petersburg vs. Boca Ciega, 7. Friday -- Final, 7 p.m.

NOTES: This is the first year of the City Championship, and not all city teams are participating. Today is demanding, with each team playing two games. Northeast (9-2) was playing well before the holidays and will try to keep the momentum going. Pinellas Park (5-4-3) is better than its record and, along with St. Petersburg (6-4-1), could make a run at the title.
