Pasco: Around the county

The West Florida Y Runners Club is sponsoring the Rail to Trail 100K and 50K and the RRCA Southern Regional 100K Championship on Feb. 16 at the Withlacoochee Rail to Trail east of Brooksville. The 100K race starts at 6 a.m., nd the 50K at 7 a.m. The entry fee is $55 before Feb. 1, and $65 afterward. There will be no race day registration in accordance with park rules. Entries should be mailed to the West Florida Y Runners Club, 2421 Fairbanks Dr., Clearwater, FL 33764. The host hotel is the Days Inn on 6320 Windmere Road in Brooksville. Baseball

The Shady Hills Little League is holding registration Jan. 12 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Shady Hills park equipment room. Registration is $35 per child. Parents must bring original birth certificates for players. No copies or hospital forms can be accepted.

Meet the authors

The Hudson Library's Meet the Authors program will feature Tom Bunevich, the author of Sign This: The Real Truth About Your Sports Heroes and the Sports Autograph Industry. He and other featured authors will speak in the auditorium for 10 minutes about his book. A book-signing will be held outside the auditorium.
