PLAYHOUSE 19: The Mystery of Edwin Drood will run Thursday through Sundays through Jan. 27 at Playhouse 19 community theater, 865 U.S. 19 S, Crystal River. The audience participation play is a musical adapted from a novel by Charles Dickens, who died before finishing the work. Box office hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, or call 563-1333.

DECORATIVE ARTISTS: The Manatee Haven Decorative Artists will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturdayat First Baptist Church of Crystal River, 700 Citrus Ave. Carol Varn will demonstrate a gourd art project painted in acrylics. Each meeting includes a raffle and show and tell. Call Jan Bittner at 563-6439.

CARVING: The Nature Coast Carving Club will meet at 10 a.m. today at the Lakes Region Library, 1511 Druid Road, Inverness. Workshops at 1 p.m. Monday at the East Citrus Community Center on State Road 44. Call 382-3957.

TRACTOR PULL: The third annual Antique Tractor Show and Pull will be Jan. 25 to 27 at the Citrus County Fairgrounds. Advance tickets are $15 for all three days; $13 for two days and $7 for one day for adults and $10, $7 and $4, respectively, for children age 6 to 11. The show is a scholarship fundraiser for the Citrus County Fair Association. Tickets available at all three Citrus County Chamber of Commerce offices, Global Radio, 2621 SR 44 W, Inverness or 719 NE US 19, Crystal River or at the Fair Association office at the fairgrounds, US 41 S, Inverness. BIG BAND: The 42nd Street Band will be the featured performers at the 16th annual Big Band Concert sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Homosassa Springs. Shows are at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 16 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. The concert will feature the music of Harry James and patriotic songs. Guest performers include trumpet player Bill White, a Louis Armstrong tribute artist, and singer Lisa Donovan, singing the hits of Judy Garland. Tickets are $12 in advance or $14 at the door. Tickets available at any Regions, Bank of America and SunTrust banks in Citrus County, or at the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce offices in Homosassa Springs, Crystal River and Inverness. BEVERLY HILLS: The Knights of Columbus Abbott Francis Sadlier Council 6168 will host its 10th annual Salute to the Irish at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. The featured entertainer is Noel Kingston, accompanied by Eamon O'Connor and Hillary O'Leary. Also performing will be Irish dancers from Tir Na Greine School of Irish Dance in Ocala. COUNTRY MUSIC: The Grand Ole' Opry, Citrus County Style, begins at 7 p.m. Jan. 26 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. The Opry features performances by local country music artists such as Jesse Watson, Brandy Lakett, Reed Franklin and Freddie Lyles. The show is a fundraiser for Homosassa Elementary. Tickets are $7 in advance and $9 at the door. Shows are at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $14 for adults and $12 for students.
