In addition to the Barber brothers, there have been many accomplished twins in the world of sports. Here are some notables with the help of Twinstuff.com:
JOSE AND OZZIE CANSECO (BASEBALL): Ex-Ray Jose has been the more successful of the two, playing 17 seasons and hitting 462 homers. Ozzie also made it to the big leagues in 1990 with Oakland (playing with his brother) and in 1992 and 1993 with St. Louis. He is a player agent. The two were born July 2, 1964 in Havana, Cuba.
HARVEY AND HORACE GRANT (BASKETBALL): Both played in the NBA, but Horace has had more success, playing for three championship teams with the Bulls and one with the Lakers. He now is with the Magic. He was Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year, becoming the first player to lead the league in points, field-goal percentage and rebounding for Clemson.
TIM AND TOM GULLIKSON (TENNIS): Accomplished players and coaches, they were ranked among the top 10 doubles players in the world at their peak. They were finalists at Wimbledon in 1983. Both have coached Pete Sampras. Tim died of cancer in 1996.
PAUL AND MORGAN HAMM (GYMNASTICS): Both made the U.S. team for the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Paul finished 14th in the all-around competition.
ALVIN AND CALVIN HARRISON (TRACK AND FIELD): They competed in the Sydney Olympics, running the first and third legs for the gold-medal U.S. 4x400 team. Alvin also earned silver in the 400.
PHIL AND STEVE MAHRE (SKIING): They swept the top two spots in the slalom competition at the 1984 Sarajevo Olympics with Phil winning gold.
DANIEL AND HENRIK SEDIN (HOCKEY): They were drafted second and third overall in the 1999 NHL draft by Vancouver. Both are in their second season with the Canucks.
DICK AND TOM VAN ARSDALE (BASKETBALL): Former college stars at Indiana, both played in the NBA. Dick was the first player in Phoenix Suns history and later coached the team to the NBA Finals.
