Ex-councilman to address Lutz Civic Association

LUTZ -- The co-chairman of a nonpartisan group formed to influence this year's Hillsborough County Commission elections is scheduled to speak at Thursday night's meeting of the Lutz Civic Association.
Scott Paine, a former Tampa City Council member, will discuss the Compass Project. It aims "to connect voters with principled, knowledgeable candidates," according to the Web site, www.compassproject.com.
The meeting is 7 p.m. Thursday at the Lutz Community Center, next to the Lutz Branch Library at U.S. 41 and Lutz-Lake Fern Road.
