Author to speak on uterine fibroids

Uterine fibroids will cause serious symptoms in one in every four women, from pain to infertility. The disease and treatment options will be discussed by Carla Dionne, executive director of the National Uterine Fibroids Foundation, in two public appearances in the area Thursday.

Dionne will speak at 11 a.m. at the St. Petersburg Main Library auditorium, 3745 Ninth Ave. N. The second session is 6:30 p.m. at the Largo Public Library-Jenkins Assembly Room, 351 East Bay Drive, in Largo.

The sessions are open to the public and free of charge.
