Football

TAMPA -- Jeff James, a 6-foot-5 star forward for Wharton's basketball team, is serving a 10-day, out-of-school suspension for disciplinary reasons, school officials reported Friday.

James' participation in athletics will be reevaluated after he finishes serving the suspension.

James, who averages nearly 20 points per game, signed a scholarship in November with Butler University in Indiana.
