ZoningBy Times staff© St. Petersburg Times published January 20, 2002 Hillsborough County commissioners recently approved the following requests: CARROLLWOOD: Thomas Development will build a 58-home subdivision on nearly 17 acres on Mushinski Road, west of Indian Oaks Drive. County staff, the Planning Commission and a zoning hearing master had endorsed the plan. (Petition 01-1340) UNIVERSITY NORTH: Gas Kwick Inc. will develop a convenience store with gasoline pumps on 0.79 acres at the southwest corner of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Fletcher Avenue. County staff, the Planning Commission and a zoning hearing master also approved of the project. (Petition 01-1409) CITRUS PARK: Sprint PCS won permission to build a cell tower at a TECO substation on Paglen Road. The 170-foot-tall tower will serve the cell phone company and two other carriers. County staff had recommended approval. (Petition 01-0128) When and whereHearings of county zoning hearing masters and land use hearing officers, and land use meetings of the County Commission are held on the second floor of the County Center, 601 E Kennedy Blvd. Zoning hearings begin at 6 p.m., and commission meetings begin at 9 a.m. Both are televised on government access channels.
