Wellington School plans open house at campuses

Wellington School will host an open house for prospective prekindergarten through third-grade students at 7 p.m. Thursday at its lower division campus, 8000 Starkey Road in Seminole. An open house for incoming fourth- through eighth-graders will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 31 at the upper division campus, 5175 45th St. N in St. Petersburg.

Classrooms will be open for inspection, and administrators, teachers and parent ambassadors will be available to answer questions.

Daytime open houses will be held at the lower division campus Feb. 11 and at the upper division campus Feb. 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. Call 397-4565 or 528-8717 for information.

Student choruses from four schools to perform

The student choruses from Bauder and Oakhurst elementary schools and Seminole Middle and High schools will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Seminole High auditorium, 8401 131st St. N. Tickets for "Let Freedom Ring" are $3 and will be available at the door. Children 5 and under will be admitted free.

Residents encouraged to address School Board

The Pinellas County School Board will hold a meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the conference hall of the administration building, 301 Fourth St. SW, Largo. The board works from an agenda that is published the week prior to each meeting.

The agenda is available at the School Board's Web site, www.pinellas.k12.fl.us.

Residents may speak about any item on the agenda not involving a hearing on employee discipline by registering five minutes before the item is introduced. Call 588-6273 for information.

St. Raphael's Catholic School plans open house

St. Raphael's Catholic School will host a "Come and See Day" on Jan. 30 at the school, 1376 Snell Isle Blvd. NE. Visitors can sign in at the front office at any time during the school day, which begins at 7:55 a.m. and ends at 2:50 p.m.

The school will host an open house that evening beginning at 6 p.m. Parents will have a chance to meet the faculty and tour the campus.

Both events are part of the school's celebration of National Catholic Schools Week. Call 821-9663 for information.
