By Times staff report Man faces charge after toddler in diaper foundLAND O'LAKES -- A 24-year-old father was arrested Saturday evening after a Pasco County sheriff's deputy said he saw the man's 3-year-old child wandering the street wearing a soiled diaper. Adam Eli Clark of 4403 Longshore Drive faces a charge of child neglect, the deputy's report states. After finding the child in the street about 7 p.m., the deputy tried several times to wake the father, the report states. Eventually he succeeded and Clark, who was watching the child, said he worked third shift and had fallen asleep, the report states. Clark was released on his own recognizance Sunday morning from county jail in Land O'Lakes. A condition of his release stipulates that he not oversee any child care. Son accused of neglecting his 91-year-old fatherNEW PORT RICHEY -- A man was arrested Friday after Pasco County sheriff's deputies said he confined his 91-year-old father to an 8- by 10-foot screened porch without food or water for hours at a time. Muharem Beganovic, 38, of 6012 Seventh Ave. faces a neglect of an elderly person charge, deputies said. Neighbors said they heard Beganovic's father, Halil, moaning during the day and night, according to deputy reports. They also saw him wandering the neighborhood searching for food and picking grapefruit. Halil has a distended stomach and sores on his body, deputies said. He couldn't get food, water or medicine while his son was at work, deputies said. The 91-year-old's portable toilet was overflowing and his mattress was soaked in urine, deputies said. A security chain kept him from getting into the house. Muharem Beganovic said his father has a loose bladder so he wouldn't let him inside, the reports state. Deputies were struggling to communicate with his father, who is from Bosnia and does not speak English. Halil Beganovic was taken to the Community Hospital in New Port Richey. Muharem Beganovic was released Saturday from county jail in Land O'Lakes after posting $10,000 bail. 19-year-old charged with abusing a catNEW PORT RICHEY -- A 19-year-old man was arrested early Saturday morning after neighbors said he grabbed a cat by the tail, threw it to his dog and picked up the cat's body after the dog killed it, deputy reports state. Thomas Franklin Agent of 6620 Southerland Ave. faces a charge of cruelty to animals, deputies said. Agent was being held Sunday at the county jail in Land O'Lakes in lieu of $5,000 bail.
