Man says he was robbed inside home

BROOKSVILLE -- A 30-year-old man told authorities that two men broke into his home early Wednesday, hit him with a pistol and stole $120.

Tyrone Davis of 858 Easy St. told sheriff's deputies that he was lying on his couch at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday when someone kicked in his front door and hit him over the head with a pistol. He said the first man pulled the slide back on the gun and said, "Think this is a game?" according to a report.

Davis said the two men searched beneath his couch, where he keeps his money, found $120 and then ran away, he said.

Deputies met Davis at Brooksville Regional Hospital and said he had a gash on his head that doctors closed with four staples.

Davis said the first man wore a blue and white bandanna with a white shirt and blue jeans. He said the second man wore a red and white bandanna on his face and a colored shirt.

Authorities were continuing to investigate Thursday.
