By Times staff reports Girl, 11, says strange man tried to lure her into his carPasco sheriff's deputies were searching Thursday for a man who an 11-year-old girl said tried to lure her into his car this week. The Hudson Elementary student told officials that a man drove up to her Tuesday afternoon near Elkton Avenue and State Road 52 as she was walking home from the bus stop. He told her to get into his car, she said. She said she ran and the man drove away after another driver honked. On Thursday, sheriff's officials released a detailed description of the man, based on information from the girl. The suspect has green eyes, a dark tan complexion, a large build, decayed teeth, long, curly gray hair, a beard and a mustache, a scar on his left cheek and a missing left pinky finger. He was last seen wearing a black ball cap with a Nike logo, a white tank top and navy blue pants with holes in them. He was driving a faded red hatchback with four headlights, a black grill and holes in the bumper. There have been no similar reports before or after the incident, sheriff's spokesman Jon Powers said. Pasco Middle School student arrested with knives at schoolDADE CITY -- Police officers on Wednesday arrested a 14-year-old Pasco Middle School student who they said threatened a fellow student with a knife. Officers said the boy, who is not being named by the Times because of his age, brandished the lockblade pocket knife shortly after school let out Tuesday. He then threatened to stab a 13-year-old boy, reports stated. On Wednesday morning, an assistant principal found a knife in the boy's desk and another smaller one in his bookbag, according to reports. The boy faces charges of aggravated assault with a knife and possession of a knife on school grounds. He was taken to Pasco juvenile detention center. No further information was available.
