TODAY-FEB. 28: Historic memorabilia of three Pasco County pioneering ranch families -- Joseph and Albert Barthle, W.H. Mitchell and Jay Starkey -- will be on exhibit at the Pottberg Library on the west campus of Pasco-Hernando Community College, 20130 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. Viewing hours are 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.

TODAY-SUN. The Fort Dade Mountain Man Rendezvous will be held at Withlacoochee River Park, 12449 Withlacoochee Blvd., Dade City. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The rendezvous depicts 1840s life in the American West when American Indians, hunters and trappers often gathered to trade and talk. There will be games and food for all ages and old-time entertainment. Admission is $2 for ages 12 and older.

TODAY-FEB. 28: The works of artists Yvette Galliher and Antonio Caparello are on exhibit at the Pasco Art Center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. An exhibit of hand-colored photographs of American Diners by Karren Doll Tolliver are on exhibit in the Upstairs Gallery. A reception for Ms. Tolliver is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the center. Viewing hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking and admission are free.

TODAY-FEB. 17: The musical Crazy For You continues at Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. Performances are at 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Feb. 9 and 16; 8 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Wednesday and Feb. 13 and 14; and 3 p.m. Sundays. TODAY-FEB. 3: The musical Mack and Mabel, based on the romance of silent movie mogul Mack Sennett and his star, Mabel Normand, has its final three performances this weekend at Richey Suncoast Theatre, 6237 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. Performances are at 8 p.m. today and Saturday, 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $12. Box office is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and a half hour before each show. Call (727) 842-6777.

TODAY: Comedy Central performer Bob Smith will perform at 8:15 p.m. today at Bonkerz Comedy Club in Club Manhattan, U.S. 19 and State Road 52 in the Bayonet Square shopping center, Hudson. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., show at 8:15 p.m. Admission is $7, open seating.

SATURDAY: Stages Productions, a professional theatre ensemble, will present The Frog Prince: The Beauty Within, at 10 a.m. at Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. The show is about one hour long and is suitable for ages 3 and older. Tickets are $5. Call 863-7949 for availability.

SATURDAY: The Hudson-Bayonet Point Lions Club will present Crystal Lee and Friends at 2 and 7 p.m. at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge, 11646 Town Center Road, New Port Richey. The 2 p.m. show will feature contemporary, gospel and Broadway tunes. The 7 p.m. show will have country, western, pop and Southern rock. Other performers are Shan-N, Lisa Parks, Dusty Ward, Pete Rostel, Michael Martin, Katie Meyer and Katie Donahue. Featured performers for the evening show are recording artist Mark Gray (Diamond in the Dust, Wounded Hearts) Skin N Bones and the Wiley Fox Band. SATURDAY: The fifth annual Moonlight and Ivory concert by area musicians and an art exhibit will be at 7 p.m. at Dade City Woman's Club. The concert and show are sponsored by the Heritage Arts Center Association. Tickets are $25 and available at the Dade City Chamber of Commerce.

SUNDAY: The Three Tenors Plus One will perform at 2 p.m. at Centennial Park Library, 5740 Moog Road, Holiday. Tickets are $3 at any Pasco County library or at the door. The concert is part of the From Broadway to Baroque series.

SUNDAY: The Richey Concert Band will perform at 2:30 p.m. at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge, Town Center Road, New Port Richey. The program includes marches by John Philip Sousa, compositions by Leroy Anderson and several tunes made famous by Glenn Miller. Soloist will be trombone player Lydon Schulde. Admission is $2 at the door, open seating.

MONDAY: The second of three sessions of Philosophy Cafe: From Socrates to Sarte, will be at 6:30 p.m. at Hudson Regional Library, 8012 Library Road (off Fivay Road), Hudson. The session, led by University of South Florida professor Charles Guignon, is What Is the Good Life? The final session, The Mystery of Consciousness, led by assistant professor Eric Winsberg, will be Feb. 11. Participation is free.

MONDAY: Singer Stan Prinston will perform at 7 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center of West Pasco, 9841 Scenic Drive, Port Richey. Prinston performs rhythm and blues music. Admission is $3.

TUESDAY: The Opera Club will view the video of Massenet's Manon at 10 a.m. at the Hudson Library, 8012 Library Road, Hudson. Discussion leader will be Jerry Ciarcia. Admission is free.

THURSDAY: Soprano Alsie Morris will be guest performer at the Thursday Musicale singing group's concert at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of New Port Richey, 6561 Circle Blvd., New Port Richey. Ms. Morris teaches at the Centre for Dance, Drama and Music in Port Richey and is director of the Children's Choir at St. James the Apostle Church. Admission is free, but a donation will be accepted.

QUICK TRIPS

TODAY-MARCH 30: Oil paintings by the Florida Highwaymen are on exhibit at Brooksville City Hall, 201 Howell Ave. (one block north of the Hernando County Courthouse), Brooksville. The 26 paintings were done from the early 1950s through the mid '70s and were sold by the roadside to tourists. Viewing hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. A discussion of the work will be led by collection owners Ken Keefer and Karen Hudson from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. TODAY: Pianist Kevin Sharpe will perform at 8 p.m. today at Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St., Tarpon Springs. Sharpe is associate professor of piano and chamber music at the University of Florida and has performed with orchestras in Florida, Indiana and Washington, D.C., and as a soloist in Iceland and Finland as part of the Icelandic-American Exchange Program. SATURDAY-MARCH 16: An exhibit by fabric artist June Colburn opens today at Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 100 Alt. 19, Tarpon Springs. Ms. Colburn works with vintage Japanese silks and modern fabrics. A reception for the artist will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. A gallery talk will be at 2 p.m. Exhibition hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays.

LOOK AHEAD

FEB. 9-10: The annual For the Love of Art juried outdoor show will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. around Orange Lake in downtown New Port Richey. The show will have painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, glass, metals and woods. There will be live entertainment, a children's art activity area and food booths. Admission is free, but a $2 donation will be accepted by the sponsors, Greater New Port Richey Main Street.

FEB. 9: Tenor Jim Hunter will be featured at the Richey Community Orchestra's concert, Mancini Magic, at 3 p.m. at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge, Town Center Road, New Port Richey. The program includes composer Henry Mancini's Moon River and The Days of Wine and Roses. Tickets are $8. Call (727) 919-3866.

FEB. 10: Impressionist Bill White will perform in the style of Louis Armstrong for the show, The Cotton Club, at 2 p.m. at the Pasco-Hernando Community College Performing Arts Center, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. Tickets are $12 to $16, available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Friday at the box office outside the college bookstore or by calling 816-3322 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
