ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays on Thursday agreed to terms on one-year contracts with pitchers Jesus Colome, Travis Phelps and Ryan Rupe.

Phelps, 24, went 2-2 with a 3.48 ERA and five saves as a rookie last season while pitching in 49 games, third most on the team. Rookie Colome, 21, was inconsistent during two stints in the bullpen, going 2-3 with a 3.33 ERA, and may be moved to the rotation. Rupe, 26, was a major disappointment, going 5-12 with a 6.59 ERA and allowing a team-record 30 home runs, and will have to win a job during spring training.

The Rays have signed 19 players on the 40-man roster.

DONATION: The Rays of Hope Foundation donated $6,000 to the Pinellas County Education Foundation for the sponsorship of two students in the Doorways Program.
