BECOME A YOUTH STORYTELLER: Students in kindergarten though 12th grade are invited to participate in the 22nd annual Tampa-Hillsborough County Storytelling Festival. The free event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 13 at Hillsborough High School, 5000 Central Ave. It will feature youth and adult storytellers, a storybook character parade, book fair, puppet shows and workshops. ESE TRAINING PROGRAMS: The Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System and the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities will offer a series of training programs for parents, teachers and other professionals involved with exceptional student education. ESSAY CONTEST: The GFWC New Tampa Junior Woman's Club is holding its third annual essay-writing contest. Sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders living in the New Tampa area may submit an essay using the topic "Of All the Freedoms Enjoyed by Living in America, This Is the Most Important to Me, and Why." Essays must be limited to 1,000 words. Entries must include name, address, telephone number, name of school or home school, age and grade.
