She's happy enough to "Cry"
MTV host, movie actor and singer Mandy Moore said she had to be peeled out of the studio while recording Cry. "I wanted to sing it over and over again. As much as I love every song I've recorded, I never felt such a perfect connection with any other song I've done before," the 17-year-old told Billboard magazine.
Cry is featured on Moore's latest self-titled album and on the soundtrack to her new movie A Walk to Remember.

A February flavor
In honor of February's being National Cherry Month, here's a kid-friendly recipe from the Cherry Marketing Institute:
CHERRY S'MORES
- 1/2 cup marshmallow creme
- 1/2 cup dried tart cherries
- 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 12 graham cracker squares (2-inches each)
Put marshmallow creme, cherries and chocolate chips in a medium bowl; mix well.
Place six of the graham crackers on a microwave-safe plate. Spoon a heaping tablespoon of marshmallow mixture on each cracker. Top with remaining crackers.
Microwave, uncovered, on High for 30 to 45 seconds, or until marshmallow mixture is soft and warm. Carefully remove plate from the microwave and set on a hot pad. Let cool slightly before eating.
Makes six servings.
