Singer James Brown testified Tuesday that he "never touched" a former employee who is suing him for sexual harassment and wrongful termination, telling jurors, "I'm a church-going man."

Lisa Agbalaya, 36, who worked for several years in the West Coast office of Brown's company, has accused Brown of making unwanted sexual advances and firing her when she filed a complaint about his behavior.

"I never touched Ms. Agbalaya-Ross, and she knows it," Brown, 68, testified in the sixth day of the trial in Los Angeles Superior Court, referring to the plaintiff by her maiden and married names. "I didn't touch nobody, and I would never touch a married woman.

"I'm a church-going man. I ain't got time for that."

Agbalaya is seeking $1-million in damages.

Brown has cast himself as a celebrity targeted by a disgruntled former employee seeking to "make a quick buck." He says Agbalaya lost her job when the West Coast office was closed for financial reasons.

'Survivor 1' winner wins assault appeal

Original Survivor winner Richard Hatch was found innocent of assaulting his ex-boyfriend in a ruling that overturns a conviction.

A judge in September found Hatch, 40, guilty of domestic assault after he got into a fight with former lover Glenn Boyanowski on the steps of Hatch's Middletown, R.I., home. He was sentenced to a year's probation and ordered to have no further contact with Boyanowski.

Hatch appealed, arguing that Boyanowski, 39, was trespassing. He said the altercation began when Boyanowski tried to push his way inside.

Newport Superior Court Judge Daniel Procaccini overturned the conviction Tuesday after two days of hearings, the Providence Journal reported.
