No additional information was available. Tanner, 18, of 4324 Nancy Creek Blvd. suffered what deputies called serious injuries after the person driving his pickup hit a bump or jerked the vehicle, causing him to be ejected from the truck. He was taken to the hospital by helicopter and treated in the emergency pediatric ward. Deputies had said at the time they were not sure whether Tanner would live. Charges had not been filed against the 15-year-old driver, whose name was not released, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
