Richard T. Dasher, member of the Academy of Senior Professionals at Eckerd College, will speak on Musical Dramas in History at 3 p.m. Friday at Lewis House. Dasher will focus on European operetta and the life and works of George Gershwin. This is the first in a series of lectures on the evolution of the Broadway musical. A $3 donation is suggested. Robert W. Saunders Sr., a former NAACP field director, will speak on Continuing the Florida NAACP Legacy of Harry T. Moore at 2 p.m. Friday at the USF Tampa Library. Saunders replaced Moore in 1951, when Moore and his wife were assassinated by Ku Klux Klan members. This is part of a lecture series on the struggle for civil rights in Florida, sponsored by the USF Resource Center for History and Politics as part of Black History Month.
