Authorities say he gave the child drugs and alcohol and traded clothes and money for sex.

HUDSON -- For two months last year, a 45-year-old Hudson man gave a 13-year-old girl drugs and alcohol, had sex with her and videotaped it, sheriff's investigators say.

"There may be more victims," sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said.

Through August and September, the girl came nearly every day to a Hudson house at 11212 Black Walnut St. There, investigators said, Charles Francis Baechtel gave her marijuana, OxyContin, methamphetamines, beer, rum and vodka. Then he had sex with her in exchange for cash and clothes, a sheriff's report said.

He faces charges including sexual battery and sexual performance by a minor.

"We want to inform the public that if they think maybe their children were at this house, they need to give us a call," Doll said.

Anyone with information or whose children might have visited the house was asked to call Detective Bill Davis toll-free at 1-800-854-2862 ext. 7481.

Investigators think other children visited the home to do drugs, Doll said. Drug charges also may be filed, he said.

At least one time in October a 20-year-old New Port Richey woman accompanied Baechtel and the girl at a U.S. 19 motel, deputies said. They said Terri Lee Patnode videotaped Baechtel having sex with the girl and also participated in sexual acts.

Patnode of 6606 Trichel Lane No. 10, faces a lewd and lascivious battery charge, deputies said.

Doll would not say how deputies learned of the activity or how the girl initially came into the home. A sheriff's report states that Baechtel and the girl met through friends.

Baechtel was held without bail Tuesday at central jail. His wife is cooperating with investigators.

Patnode was scheduled on Tuesday to be released from jail without bail, deputies said.
