This hole typically brings more groans than glee, but Bruce Summerhays got the best of it during the first round. His 8-iron second shot from 153 yards rolled into the cup for eagle-2. "It's the most wonderful golf hole we play on tour," he said. "It's a great par 4. To come up and knock in an 8-iron is super."

Summerhays' eagle came at the third-most difficult hole on the Senior PGA Tour in 2001. Later, tournament co-leader Dana Quigley birdied it, also hitting an 8-iron second shot. On Wednesday, when the weather was cold and windy, players needed long irons or woods to reach the green. On Friday, the hole play somewhat easier, although it still ranked as the third-most difficult on the course, playing to an average of 4.179 strokes.
