FanFest weekend for Rays

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays will sell tickets, sign autographs, hold clinics and answer questions at the annual FanFest today and Sunday at Tropicana Field.

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays will sell tickets, sign autographs, hold clinics and answer questions at the annual FanFest today and Sunday at Tropicana Field.

FanFest is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today and noon-4 Sunday. Admission and parking are free.

Starting today, single-game tickets will be available at the stadium, the team store at WestShore Plaza and through Ticketmaster.

Players and coaches will sign autographs both days. Among others, Jason Tyner and Brent Abernathy will be available from 10-11:30 a.m. today; Tanyon Sturtze and Dewon Brazelton, 2:30-4 p.m. today; Jared Sandberg, Aubrey Huff and Ben Grieve, noon-1:30 p.m. Sunday; Toby Hall and John Flaherty, 1:30-2:45 Sunday; and Joe Kennedy, Nick Bierbrodt, manager Hal McRae and coaches, 2:45-4 p.m. Sunday.

Highlights include question-and-answer sessions with general manager Chuck LaMar (12:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday), tours of the Rays clubhouse, and the return of Club MLB Roadshow, a multi-media, interactive exhibit that includes batting and pitching cages, a broadcast booth, computer kiosks, a base-stealing area and baseball history displays.

New this year is a sports card/memorabilia show and the Wilson Experience, an exhibit which allows fans to try out baseball and softball equipment.
