WHAT: Ninth annual Ted Williams Museum and Hitters Hall of Fame inductions.
WHEN: Noon today, Ch. 9.
WHERE: Ted Williams Museum, 2455 N Citrus Hills Blvd., Hernando.
ADMISSION: $35 for first-come, first-served seating under the main tent adjacent to the museum; $75 for preferred seating. Both include a commemorative yearbook. Tickets can be purchased at the museum. People without tickets can sit outside the tent area for free, but the view is limited.
INDUCTEES: Dwight Evans, Roger Maris, Don Mattingly, Cal Ripken Jr., Enos Slaughter.
OTHER AWARD WINNERS: Wall of Great Achievement -- Gaylord Perry, Virgil Trucks; Derek Jeter; 3,000 Hit Club -- Al Kaline; Productive Player -- Barry Bonds (National League), Jason Giambi (American League); Rookie of the Year -- Albert Pujols (National League), Alfonso Soriano (American League).
SCHEDULED TO ATTEND: Evans, Giambi, Jeter, Kaline, Mattingly, Ripken, Perry, Slaughter, Trucks. Maris' widow, Pat, will accept on his behalf.
NOTES: The 83-year old Williams missed the event last year for the first time, due to poor health. It is not known if he will attend this year's ceremony. He was hospitalized last month with flulike symptoms, but has returned to his home in Hernando.
ENTERTAINERS: Citrus residents Sally Langlois and Paul Stevio will sing at the event.
