AUTOMOTIVE

George Martin has received the American Towman ACE Award for achievement in service performance. Martin is owner of George & Son's Car Care, St. Petersburg.

COMMUNITY

Kevin J. Napper has been re-elected as chairman of the board of directors of Tampa Theatre Inc. Napper is a shareholder in the firm of Carlton Fields, Tampa.

ENGINEERING

Gary D. Miller has been named project manager in the planning group for HDR Inc., Tampa. Miller was a project manager for Avid Engineering, Palm Harbor.

LEGAL

George Jirotka has been named chairman of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission. Jirotka is a shareholder in the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker, Tampa.

MANUFACTURING

Rose Kennedy has been promoted to marketing and training manager for PBTI International, Clearwater. Kennedy was quality coordinator.

Superior Uniform Group Inc., Seminole, announced the following appointments: Peter Benstock, executive vice president; and Andrew D. Dermott Jr., senior vice president, chief financial officer, treasurer and secretary. Benstock was senior vice president; Dermott was vice president, CFO, treasurer and secretary.

NONPROFIT

The Tampa Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau announced the following appointments: Shari Bailey, national sales manager; and Jane Han, services manager. Bailey was senior sales representative for the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Cape Canaveral; Han was hospitality/sales representative for the Museum of Science and Industry, Tampa.

ORGANIZATIONS

The Suncoast Tiger Bay Club elected officers and directors for 2002. Officers are: Keith Bailey, president; Margo Fischer, vice president; Douglas Fairbanks, secretary; and Thomas Whiteman Jr., treasurer. New board members are: Donna Bryan, Realtor, Hofacker & Associates; Michael Mayo, director of strategic relations, Pinellas Suncoast Association of Realtors; and Christine Weigle, board member for Family Resources Inc. Bailey is president of Bailey Property Management; Fischer is a financial adviser with RaymondJames & Associates; Fairbanks is a retiree; and Whiteman is a Certified Public Accountant with his own practice.

SALES

Paul D. Roberts has been promoted to sales manager of the Southeast division for Archway Cookies, a division of Parmalat Bakeries of North America. Roberts of Largo was area manager for Florida.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS

Amy Breland-Fisher has been named director of marketing for Progress Telecom, St. Petersburg. Breland-Fisher was senior marketing and business development manager for Nortel Network, Sunrise.
