Stacy L. Zirkle, daughter of Carol A. and Frank Zirkle of St. Petersburg, has been assigned to the U.S. Border Patrol in Calexico, Calif.

She is a 1996 graduate of Boca Ciega High and received a degree in criminal justice in 2000 from the Federal Law Enforcement Academy in Brunswick, Ga.

Seaman Apprentice Robert Daniel Watson, son of Lou Ann and Robin Watson and grandson of Audrey Chamouris, all of St. Petersburg, and grandson of Jack Watson, formerly of St. Petersburg, graduated from Coast Guard basic training in Cape May, N.J.

A 2000 graduate of Boca Ciega High, he is stationed at U.S. Coast Guard Station, Morro Bay, Calif.
