Here's a partial list of planned activities in South Tampa schools. Attendance is limited to school families only unless otherwise noted.

Parents, don't forget next Friday, March 8, is early release day for all Hillsborough County schools. Dismissal will be at noon.
DUNBAR MAGNET ELEMENTARY: Parent/Teacher Conference Night, Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
LANIER ELEMENTARY: Primary grade students dress up as a favorite book character and parade around the school campus in the Books Alive Parade, today.
MABRY ELEMENTARY: PTA is holding an auction/fundraiser at Fletcher Hall on the University of Tampa campus, today. Auction items include dinner from Outback Steakhouse, entertainment, vacations, donations from hotels, parents and local businesses, with some larger items made by classes. Get tickets at the school office.
MITCHELL ELEMENTARY: Students will celebrate National School Breakfast week Monday through March 8. The school will be featured in a public service commercial airing in March, sponsored by the Florida Department of Citrus. Watch for it.
WEST TAMPA ELEMENTARY: Most Valuable Attitude Reception at 1 Greyhound Place, today, at 8:15 a.m. Put on your smiles for school picture day. Individual and class pictures will be taken, Tuesday. Community Crime Watch meeting will be held in the cafeteria, Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.
MADISON MIDDLE SCHOOL: "Read Across America" to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, today.
ROBINSON HIGH SCHOOL: National Honor Society clothing drive for the elderly and handicapped, all month long. NHS applications for underclassmen available, today. Exams (half a day), Thursday, periods one and two.
