Al-Arian says his ideal solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a binational democracy. Failing that, he favors a U.N.-backed solution in which Israelis would control 78 percent of historic Palestine; Palestinians would be left with 22 percent -- the West Bank and Gaza.
