BANKING

E.J. McCargar has been named senior vice president of the Bank of Tampa. McCargar was vice president and senior corporate banker for Northern Trust, Tampa.

Kim Horstman has been promoted to vice president/banking manager of the Koger office of Mercantile Bank, St. Petersburg. Horstman was a business development executive.

CONSTRUCTION

The Central Florida Division of U.S. Home Corp., Clearwater, named the following new home sales consultants: Mandra Stewart; Ledel J. Patton Jr.; and Rick Kedzierski. Stewart was a project manager/corporate broker for American Tower Corp., Bradenton; Patton was assistant vice president at Greenwich Capital Markets, Greenwich, Conn.; and Kedzierski was a sales associate for Mercedes Homes, Orlando.

LEGAL

Denise Anderson Byrd and Alan J. Nisberg have been named partners in the law firm of Butler Burnette Pappas, Tampa. Both were associates.

Patrick J. McNamara, a shareholder in the law firm of de la Parte & Gilbert, Tampa, has been elected managing shareholder and president.

NONPROFIT

Mark Bentley has been elected chairman of the Ybor City Development Corp., Tampa. Bentley is a shareholder in the law firm of Mechanik Nuccio Bentley Williams Hearne & Wester, Tampa.

ORGANIZATIONS

The Tampa Bay Area Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry announced the following awards: Don Strobel, 2002 Remodeler of the Year; and Bert Henderson, Associate of the Year. Strobel is owner of Strobel Building Inc., St. Petersburg; and Henderson is adjunct energy agent for the University of South Florida, Pinellas County Extension, Largo.

Leadership Tampa Alumni, sponsored by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, announced the following appointments to the 2002 board of directors: Dianne Jacob, chairwoman; Susan Welch, vice chairwoman; and Paul Catoe, past chairman. Jacob is director of business development for Hardin Construction Co., Tampa; Welch is president of Welch Chiropractic Clinic, Tampa; and Catoe is president of the Tampa Bay Visitors & Convention Bureau, Tampa.

REAL ESTATE

Insignia/ESG Inc., Tampa, announced the following appointments: Mike Heise, director; and Dan Santinga, senior associate. Heise was owner/co-founder of Alliance Development, Tampa; Santinga was a retail/wholesale manager for Sherwin-Williams Co., Tampa.
