PLAYER OF THE YEAR

FIRST TEAM

GUARD: Jerrell Graham, Sr., Hernando -- Finished as the Leopards' No. 2 career scorer after a senior season in which he averaged 21.6 points while leading Hernando to a second consecutive state playoff berth.

CENTER-FORWARD: Emory Strachan, Sr., Springstead -- Nobody grabbed rebounds at a faster clip than this transfer from the Bahamas, who averaged 12.2 to go with a 13.2 scoring average.

FORWARD: Josh Scott, Sr., Central -- One of just two seniors on his team with previous varsity experience, Scott (15.4 ppg, 9.3 rpg) teamed with Willie Winslett to give the Bears a strong 1-2 punch up front.

GUARD: Kyle Hamilton, Sr., Lecanto -- Led the team to a Class 4A region semifinal with a 15-point average. Scored 31 points in a game twice, and shot a team-best 80.9 percent from the free-throw line. Averaged 18.2 points against Citrus/Hernando opponents.

GUARD: Jamaal Galloway, So., Citrus -- The top scorer for the Class 3A, District 6 champion was one of the area's premier outside shooters. Led Citrus County with 18.7 scoring average, and ranked among the county leaders in rebounds (5) and assists (3.8).

SUB: Chris Vihrachoff, Sr., Citrus -- The three-year starter averaged 13.3 points, 5.8 assists and 5 rebounds for the Hurricanes, who claimed the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference title by going 9-1. He is a two-time all-area pick.
