Group offers college help for women

INVERNESS -- The Citrus branch of the American Association of University Women has funded an educational endowment with Central Florida Community College. College-bound high school seniors or graduates whose college careers have been interrupted may apply. To obtain an application, call 726-6479. Deadline is Friday.

Animal Control looking for cat

The Department of Public Safety, Animal Control is seeking a cat that scratched a man on Tuesday at 3440 S Winding Path, Inverness. It is described as a 12-year-old black and white, neutered male domestic shorthair. If the cat is not located by Friday, rabies vaccinations will have to be administered to the victim. If you have any information regarding this animal, please call Citrus County Animal Control at 726-7660.
