Woman, toddler hide during violent break-in

PORT RICHEY -- Four people were arrested Saturday in a rampage at a Regency Park house while a woman and her toddler hid inside a locked bathroom, Pasco County sheriff's deputies said.

The early Saturday morning break-in caused more than $1,000 damage to the house at 7824 Niagara Drive, according to deputy reports. The group smashed a car parked outside and broke into the house with a baseball bat looking to beat up a man they knew, deputies said.

The woman who lives there fled to the bathroom with her toddler. She was covered in glass and her toddler suffered minor injuries, deputies said.

Facing burglary charges are Nicole Lissette Wood, 18, of 13730 Coco Ave. in Hudson; Joshua Jay Vozda, 21, of 6702 Georgia Ave. in New Port Richey; William Brandon Huddleston, 19, of 7127 Cavan St. in New Port Richey; and a 17-year-old, who is not being named by the Times because of his age.

The adults were taken Saturday morning to county jail in Land O'Lakes. Their bail information was not available Saturday morning.
