Business association announces 2002 officers

The Beach Drive and Downtown Business Association has announced officers for 2002. They include Suzanne Fisher, manager of Coplon's, president; Nancy Brenneman of Bruce Watters Jewelers Inc. as vice president; Norbert Feth, owner of Ambria's, and Patty Hutchings, marketing outreach supervisor for city of St. Petersburg, as cotreasurers; and Marilyn Armstrong, publisher of New St. Pete News, secretary.

Greg Recchia has been named administrator for Heartland of St. Petersburg, a skilled nursing facility and rehabilitation center on Ninth Avenue N. Before the appointment, Recchia served as assistant administrator for Manor Care Palm Harbor.

The Women's Council of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce will present its Women's Symposium from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 28 at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort, 501 Fifth Ave. NE, St. Petersburg. The event includes a luncheon, symposium and expo. Andrea Mitchell, chief foreign affairs correspondent for NBC News, will be the featured speaker. Along with lunch and the program, an expo including representatives from a variety of Tampa Bay businesses will be on display. The organization will present its Business Woman of the Year and Community Service Woman of the Year honors during the luncheon. Tickets are $36. For reservations, call Dianne Caton, 821-4069.
