A banjomobile and magic tricks are likely to tickle the kids to pieces. And for the adults, a game show.

If you see a miniature double-decker bus cruising around the fairgrounds, don't be surprised. It's just Richard Pearl and his banjomobile.

Pearl sits in the open driver's cockpit, playing country, Dixieland, classical and Latin music on his banjo.

During performance stops, Pearl will play his banjo a while, then start making balloon shapes for the audience. He also tells jokes and humorous stories.

There's also fun for the adults, who are invited to play a trivia game involving theme songs from television programs and commercial jingles while they compete for prizes such as toy hats and balloons.

Banjomobile schedule

Monday -- 5, 7 and 9 p.m.

Tuesday -- 10:30 a.m., 12:30, 2:30, 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

Thursday -- 4:30, 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.

Another act is the Kandu & Company Magic Show, which uses live music, sound effects, sight gags, slapstick comedy and audience participation.

Kandu, who is magician Jeff Eaton, has been performing magic around the country for 20 years, according to his Web site. For extra entertainment this year, Kandu has brought along his Wild & Wacky Game Show. This show picks its contestants from the audience and involves games with Hula Hoops, balloons, buckets, butterfly nets and even plungers. The Kandu Magic show will be near U.S. 41, between the fence and the exhibit buildings.
