Graphicstudio's best and brightest

Work by some of the most recognizable names in contemporary art is on display at Graphicstudio/The Institute for Research in Art at the University of South Florida in Tampa. The studio has collaborated with artists for 33 years in pioneering the art and craft of creating works on paper.

This is a retrospective of sorts, displaying "our watershed pieces," said Noel Smith of Graphicstudio, including work by Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Mapplethorpe, Jim Dine and Roy Lichtenstein produced in the 1970s and 1980s, along with new work by Ed Ruscha and Abel Barroso.

Graphicstudio, located at 3702 Spectrum Blvd. on the Tampa campus, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment. Free admission. The show runs through April 30. For information, call (813) 974-3503.
