TRINITY -- This community will get its first day-care center by the beginning of the next school year.
Discovery Point Child Development Centers is building a 10,000-square-foot center across from Trinity Elementary School, on State Road 54 and Duck Slough Boulevard.
The center is designed to accommodate 230 children ages 6 months to 12 years, and include a computer learning area, classrooms and playgrounds separated by age groups and a "boo boo room" to isolate sick kids.
The center will be open 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and provide transportation to several public elementary schools. Rates were not available.
Discovery Point is a 14-year-old day-care franchiser that has 21 other locations throughout Georgia. The company plans to sell the Trinity center to a franchisee.
