High school student accused of shooting girl, 12, with BB gun

LAND O'LAKES -- Pasco County sheriff's deputies on Thursday charged a 15-year-old Land O'Lakes High School student with aggravated battery after a 12-year-old girl said she was shot three times with a BB gun, reports stated.
Deputies said the shots left welts and bruises on the girl. The third BB penetrated her skin and lodged inside her left bicep, reports stated.
The accused boy's name is being withheld by the Times because of his age. The boy was taken to the Pasco County juvenile detention center. No further information was available.
