Keller Williams St. Petersburg was named the top market center in Florida in terms of total sales volume, total commissions earned and total number of homes sold last year, it was announced at the Keller Williams International convention recently in New Orleans.
It is the largest Keller Williams office in Florida with 130 agents. Last year's closed sales volume was $122-million, up 83 percent from the year before, the company said.
The Tampa Bay Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry will underwrite the cost of repairing one of four homes to be renovated for low-income and handicapped homeowners.
The group is participating in the "Rebuilding Together" program, a national volunteer effort.
Two homes in Pinellas and two homes in Hillsborough are undergoing renovation and repair under the supervision of licensed remodeling contractors and volunteers. NARI's financial contribution is about $4,000.
On the grand finale day, April 27, other volunteers will participate by painting and doing landscaping.
This is the second year the local NARI chapter has provided funding and labor for one of the "Rebuilding Together" homes.
