Book fair planned for John Hopkins CenterJohn Hopkins Center for the Arts and Communication Studies announces a scholastic book fair from 9:30 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. April 15-19 at the school, 701 16th St. S. The fair will feature books and educational learning products from more that 150 publishers for readers of all ages. It is open to the public and will be held in the school's media center. Education foundation sponsors annual galaThe Pinellas County Education Foundation will host its 10th annual gala April 25 at the Mahaffey Theater at Bayfront Center. The reception begins at 6 p.m., dinner will be served at 7, and performances by Pinellas County students start at 8. The gala brings together area business, community and education leaders for an evening of cocktails, music and entertainment. Proceeds from the gala help the foundation support a wide range of public school initiatives for students and educators.
