Storyteller and balladeer Judy Gail will portray Mary Barr Munroe, a Woman of Spirit and Action at 6 p.m. Friday at Davis Hall, Room 130. Munroe was a 19th century Florida pioneer. She was an activist, environmentalist and Coconut Grove community leader who founded the Southern Tropical Audubon Society and Royal Palm Park, which became Everglades National Park. Leslie King, professor of environmental studies at the University of Northern British Columbia, will speak on The Life of an Itinerant Environmentalist: Environmental Education in England, Africa and North America at 7 p.m. Thursday at Dendy-McNair Auditorium. King will talk about her experiences teaching and practicing environmental studies for more than 20 years.
