Temple B'nai Israel hosts Yom Hashoa observance

Rabbi Arthur Baseman will conduct a congregational observance of Yom Hashoa during Shabbat services at 8 p.m. today at Temple B'nai Israel, 1685 S Belcher Road, Clearwater. Holocaust survivors and children of survivors will be invited to the bema to light a memorial candle. Following the services, they will lead the congregation to the Holocaust monument in the temple courtyard and recite the Mourner's Kaddish.

Reporter will share story of faith at breakfast

WFLA-TV senior reporter Lance Williams will talk about his battle with leukemia and how his spirituality and belief in God factored into his recovery during a pancake breakfast from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 455 N Missouri Ave., Largo. Williams' story will be featured on NBC's Dateline program scheduled for early summer. Admission to the breakfast is free. An offering will be taken. For information, call 709-2753.
