Army National Guard Pfc. Cameron M. Donovan has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, Donovan received instruction and practice in drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, physical fitness, basic first aid and Army values, principles and traditions. Donovan is a 1999 graduate of Robinson High School, and son of Dawn and Ron Pampel, Tampa.

Marine Corps Sgt. David H. Helms recently reported for duty with Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Marimar, San Diego. Helms joined the Marine Corps in February 1997. He is the son of Joan K. Helms, Tampa.

Army Pfc. Kinte N. Murrill has arrived at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla., to complete basic military training. During the eight weeks of training, he will study the Army mission and receive instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, Army history and traditions, and special training in human relations. He is a 1995 graduate of Armwood Senior High School. He is the son of Deborah Meadors, Tampa.

Army Pvt. Albert C. Thomas has graduated from the food service specialist advanced individual training course at Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va. He was trained to perform preliminary food preparation procedures according to Army production schedules and recipes; cook, bake and serve food in large and small quantities, field and garrison operations; general operation of Army dining facilities, including cleaning and housekeeping, sanitation measures; and storage of subsistence items. Thomas is a 2000 graduate of North Florida Christian School, and son of Luccille Barnes, Tampa.

Army Pfc. DeAndre A. Walden has graduated from the signal support system specialist course at Fort Gordon, Augusta, Ga. The 10-week course teaches skills that provide telecommunications to combat units in field wire construction, tactical radio retransmission and small switchboards. Walden is a 2001 graduate of A.P. Lento Comprehensive High School. He is the son of Tonjua M. Leggett, Tampa.

Army Reserve Pfc. Carlos L. Rivera has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, Rivera received instruction and practice in drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactic, military courtesy, military justice system, physical fitness, basic first aid and Army values, principles, and traditions. Rivera is a 2001 graduate of East Bay High School. He is the son of Luis and Carmen Rivera, Riverview.
