HUDSON -- Pasco County sheriff's deputies and fire rescue workers will take on a team of Tampa Bay sports figures in a softball game Friday night at Veterans Memorial Park.

All money raised at the 7 p.m. game will benefit the Pasco County Boys and Girls Clubs, organizers said. Tickets cost $6.

The Pasco Heroes team will consist of 10 deputies and 10 fire rescue workers.

The celebrity team will include former Tampa Bay Buccaneer tight end Jerry Bell, professional bowler Steve Hoskins, University of South Florida football coach Jim Leavitt, former USF and pro basketball player Charlie Bradley and former Tampa Bay Lightning hockey player Rudy Poeschek, according to manager Frank Allen.

"We're 99 percent certain he's bringing (Lightning player) Vinny Lecavalier," Allen said.

Local sports television personalities will also play on the team, Allen said.

The festivities -- including prizes, music and a home run hitting contest -- will begin at 5 p.m. in the park, off Hicks Road.

Tickets are available at Sharky's Sports Grill, 7041 U.S. 19, all Arby's restaurants in Pasco, and at the game.

Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
