ARCHITECTURE

Suzanne D. Bosworth has been named office manager for Fraze Design Inc., St. Petersburg. Bosworth was office manager for Bessolo Design Group Inc., St. Petersburg.

BANKING

Mercantile Bank, St. Petersburg, announced the following appointments: Dan Hester, executive vice president, corporate banking division; and James Bush, vice president and business banking manager. Hester was senior vice president and commercial lending manager; Bush was vice president, business specialist for Bank of America, Tampa.

Frank Reno has been named senior vice president, residential real estate division for SunTrust Bank, Tampa. Reno was manager, mortgage sales for New South Federal Savings Bank, Tampa.

CONSTRUCTION

Michael D. Foley Jr. has been named general manager of BCH Mechanical Inc., Largo. Foley was chief estimator.

ENGINEERING

David A. Williams has been named survey manager for Heidt & Associates, Tampa. Williams was a project manager for Choctaw Engineering Inc., Fort Walton Beach.

LEGAL

Marsha G. Rydberg has been named board chairwoman of the Federal Research Bank of Jacksonville. Rydberg is a partner in the Rydberg Law Firm, Tampa.

Robert Schumaker has been elected chairman of the city of St. Petersburg Environmental Development Commission. Schumaker is a shareholder in the law firm of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, St. Petersburg.

MARKETING

Thomas F. Begley has been named general manager for the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Begley is president and chief executive of Thomas Begley & Associates, St. Petersburg.

MEDICAL

Jerome Ladous has been named director of ambulatory services, including Joslin Center for Diabetes and East Lake Outpatient Center, for Mease Hospitals, Safety Harbor. Ladous was director of operations for BayCare's Physicians Health Care Alliance, Clearwater.

NONPROFIT

WEDU Florida West Coast Public Broadcasting Inc., Tampa, announced the election of the following board members: Vern Farnsworth; Tommy B. "Brad" Hall; AJ D. Jemison; Leonard H. Johnson; and Michael Rierson. Farnsworth is a former state senator from Massachusetts and director of corporate relations for Capitol Marketing Concepts, St. Petersburg; Hall is self-employed in entrepreneurial and investment activities, Land O'Lakes; Jemison is general manager of International Plaza and Bay Street, Tampa; Johnson is a shareholder in the law firm of Johnson, Auvil & Brock and general counsel for Mobley Homes of Florida, Dade City; and Rierson is vice president of university advancement at the University of South Florida and executive vice president of the USF Foundation, Tampa.

Renee A. Benton has been named executive director of the Hillsborough County Workforce Board Inc., Tampa. Benton was business services officer for the Agency for Workforce Innovation, Tallahassee.

John T. McQueen has been elected to the board of directors of Help A Child Inc., Pinellas Park. McQueen is vice president of Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes, Cemetery and Crematory, St. Petersburg.

STORAGE

Scott A. Spencer has been named to the board of directors of Portable On Demand Storage Inc., St. Petersburg. Spencer is president of Spencer International Advisors Inc., Clearwater.

TECHNOLOGY

Chris Harned has been named as a non-executive director to the board of directors of Danka Business Systems, St. Petersburg. Harned is managing director of the Cypress Group, New York City.
