IRISH CONCERT: The American Irish Club will present Celebration America at 4 p.m. today at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. The show is a fast-paced tour of Americana from the turn of the 20th century through Sept. 11, 2001. It is a five-act performance, with an emotional grand finale. Entertainers include masters of ceremony Bob and Annetta Glickman and Danny Zavett, a comedian and musician. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. OLD COURTHOUSE EXHIBIT: The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum hosts Florida Girls & Boys and Their Toys, a display of photographs and panels showing how toys have evolved over the years. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Free admission. Call 341-6429.

COMMUNITY BAND CONCERT: The Citrus Community Band under the direction of V. Lionel King will perform its Spring Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church of Inverness, 206 Washington Ave. Selections will include classical, patriotic and Broadway standards. Free admission, donations accepted.

EARTH DAY: Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park is planning an Earth Day 2002 event Saturday. The event will focus on whooping cranes and bird trails. The dedication and opening of 19 birding trails in Citrus County will be held that day. Visitors can take part in a birding walk on Pepper Creek Trail at 7:30 a.m. Other Earth Day events will be educational exhibits and a scavenger hunt.

BALLROOM DANCERS: The Spirit of Citrus Ballroom Dancers meet from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays at the Kellner Center on Civic Circle in Beverly Hills. Admission to the dances are $4 for members and $6 for nonmembers. Ballroom dancing lessons are from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays for beginners and 8 to 9 p.m. for intermediate. Cost is $5. Call 746-5845.

BRITISH INVASION: Herman's Hermits with lead singer Peter Noone will perform at Rock Crusher Canyon Amphitheater at 7 p.m. April 27. The group had hits such as I'm Into Something Good, Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter, There's A Kind of Hush and I'm Henry The 8th. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. VIP dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $15 and VIP tickets are $30. Call 563-1333.

MUSEUM MUSIC: Jesse Watson will host a "Jammin With Jesse" concert at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High beginning at 3 p.m. May 16. The concert is a fundraiser for the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum in Inverness. Entertainers include Jimmy Brown (twice runner-up at the Jimmy Buffett contest at the Manatee Festival), Sarah Bunnell, Reed Franklin, Jim and Sheila Harpin, Bobby Henwood, Jim Kelly, Anna Schultz, Tom Sjoberg and others. Advance tickets are $10 and $12 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at all three Chamber of Commerce locations in Crystal River, Homosassa and Inverness.
