CLASS 2A, DISTRICT 10

WHEN: Friday

WHERE: Tampa Jesuit, 4701 North Himes Ave.

TEAMS: Academy of the Holy Names (girls), Clearwater Central Catholic, Jesuit (boys), Osceola, Palmetto, Robinson, Sarasota Cardinal Mooney, St. Petersburg Catholic, Tampa Catholic

SCHEDULE: The 4x800 relay and field events start at 1 p.m. The running preliminaries start at 3 and the finals will be held a half-hour after the preliminaries.

ADMISSION: $4

OUTLOOK: Once again, St. Petersburg Catholic faces its boys nemesis, Jesuit. The Barons were swept in their three regular-season meetings against the Tigers, but the losses were close. Academy of the Holy Names is the favorite on the girls side. CCC could have contended if not for injuries. Apryl Wall and Jessica Hallgren are out for the season.

CLASS A, DISTRICT 11

WHEN: Friday

WHERE: Shorecrest, 5101 1st St. NE

TEAMS: Admiral Farragut Academy, Indian Rocks Christian, Keswick Christian, Northside Christian, Shorecrest

SCHEDULE: The field events start at 2:30 p.m. except for the high jump, which starts at 3:30. The 4x800 is at 3 and the running preliminaries are at 4:30. The running finals are at 6.

ADMISSION: $4

OUTLOOK: This is one of the most competitive districts in the county. All five boys teams and four of the five girls teams can contend for the title. Keswick swept the boys and girls field at the Mustang Invitational two weeks ago and Northside swept at the Bay Conference meet last week.
