The one-hour social is being held to give members a chance to mingle with candidates, president Mark Fogarty said. The civic association meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. Guv'na campaign to offer barbecue, belly-dancingLUTZ -- Barbecue and belly-dancing are being combined this afternoon in the campaign for guv'na, Lutz's mock chief of state. Brett Montegny, a guv'na candidate calling herself "Style Kitten," is hosting a party from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hot Rod's BBQ & Grill, 18430 Livingston Ave. Tickets are $15 and seating is limited. Proceeds go to community causes. Montegny, owner of Classy Consignment and member of a belly-dancing troupe, said she and three fellow dancers will perform. Police officials to address security, crime, staffingHUNTER'S GREEN -- Law enforcement officials will speak to members of the New Tampa Community Council on Thursday. Tampa police Deputy Chiefs Jane Siling and Tina Wright are scheduled to address residents at 7 p.m. at the Hunter's Green Country Club, 18101 Longwater Run Drive. Maj. Al Perotti of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is scheduled to attend.
