DUNNELLON -- A woman arrested on a charge of stealing from the 79-year-old grandfather of former NFL wide receiver Ernie Mills told authorities she also robbed an elderly Citrus County man who was going to pay her for sex.

Lotarsor A. White, 27, 2750 N Rutgers Ter., Hernando, was arrested Thursday by Marion County sheriff's deputies and charged with one count each of strong-arm robbery, grand theft auto and abuse of the elderly.

White is accused of spraying white enamel in the face of Ernest Mills Sr., swiping his wallet containing $200 and driving away in his red Suzuki Esteem station wagon.

Mills Sr. told authorities he knew White, whom he called "Tosha," and allowed her to perform menial tasks for him in return for a place to sleep.

On April 6, White visited his residence and asked for his car keys so she could retrieve some personal belongings from the vehicle, Mills Sr. said.

When she returned to the house, she was carrying a can of white enamel and began spraying Mills Sr. in the face, according to a Marion County sheriff's report. While he attempted to fend off her attack, White grabbed his wallet from his shirt pocket and fled in the station wagon, the report said.

Mills Sr.'s grandson is a revered figure in Dunnellon, where the former Dallas Cowboy wide receiver was born and raised. An Ernie Mills Park sits on E Pennsylvania Street, near the center of town.

On April 8, the station wagon was found abandoned by the side of State Road 200 in Citrus County, just south of the Marion County line.

A warrant was issued for White's arrest and she was picked up by authorities Thursday.

In a taped interview, White told Marion County detective Donald Winston that Mills Sr. bought her a lump of crack cocaine, which she smoked before demanding more.

White said she became angry when Mills Sr. refused to purchase more crack for her, sprayed him in the face and drove away in his car. She told the detective she later paid someone to abandon the car for her.

White went on to say she had committed a similar offense in Citrus County, when she stole the vehicle of an elderly man who picked her up to perform a sexual act for $20.

White said the man could not perform the act and she demanded her money. When he refused to pay, she pushed him down, took $20 and fled in his vehicle, according to the arrest report.

White still had the man's keys, the report said.

On April 17, Hernando resident William R. Johnson told Citrus County sheriff's deputies his pink and white van had been stolen by a woman he had paid for sex.

He said he drove the woman, who he said was an acquaintance, to a wooded area of Cathy Road about 6 p.m. Just as in White's story, Johnson reported he could not immediately perform the sexual act and refused to pay the woman.

Johnson said the woman hit him in the head and stole his vehicle. He was found by a sheriff's deputy dazed and stumbling by U.S. 41.

Citrus County sheriff's Lt. Bob Wesch said Monday a detective has been assigned to investigate the case.
