Rotary Club, Dawn Center plan benefit

The Rotary Club of Spring Hill Central Charities and the Dawn Center will have the First Annual Bowling Benefit 2-5 p.m. May 5 at Mariner Lanes. The cost is $200 per team.

Prizes include dinner theater at The Show Palace, all-day passes to Weeki Wachee Buccaneer Bay, restaurant certificates, canoe trips, and gift certificates.

Trophies will be awarded to the first-, second- and last-place teams. The event will benefit Rotary Charities and countywide service programs, as well the Dawn Center Services to abused women and children and victims of rape.

PERFECT: Jim Riveiro and Bob Morrison Jr. bowled 300 last week at Mariner Lanes. Riveiro's perfect game was part of a 781 series in the SunTrust Classic League. Morrison picked up his 300 in the Ball and Chain League.
