Pvt. 1st Class Scott L. Frechette of Seminole graduated from basic training in Fort Benning, Ga. He will continue his training as a health care specialist at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas.
Frechette is a 1997 graduate of East Lake High.
Airman 1st Class Matthew C. Kautz, son of Patricia Kautz of St. Petersburg and William Kautz of Cosby, Tenn., completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He has been assigned to Hurlburt Field in Pensacola.
Kautz attended Holy Name School in Gulfport and graduated in 2001 from Cocke County High in Tennessee.
